The older selections conduct their matches and training sessions at the FK Dečić fields, which have recognized the quality and dedication of the club's work. The club owes them great gratitude for their support and trust, as they provide young players with better working and development conditions.
A team of seven coaches works with children starting from the age of five, and the selections of Golden Ball regularly participate in
tournaments across the region and Europe. Through such competitions, young footballers gain valuable experience, measure their strengths against renowned academies, and develop a competitive character.
One of the club's most important projects is the international tournament
Podgorica Trophy, which is ideated and organized by Golden Ball. Many well-known clubs and academies such as
Dinamo from Zagreb,
Red Star,
Partizan,
Astana,
CSKA Sofia,
Sarajevo, and
Borac from Banja Luka have participated in this tournament in Podgorica over the past years, and in previous years, teams from
Barcelona also attended. The tournament has become one of the most significant gatherings of children's football in the region.
Despite limited infrastructural conditions, Golden Ball has achieved notable competitive results over the years. Their selections have recorded successes in international tournaments and domestic leagues, with the 2010/2011 generation particularly standing out by winning the demanding Podgorica Trophy and then continuing to achieve good results in younger category competitions.
The club's focus, as emphasized by the coaching staff, is not only on results but primarily on the development of young players. The goal is for children to gain a solid technical and tactical foundation through their work at Golden Ball, as well as values such as discipline, team spirit, and sportsmanship.
With a large number of young participants, active involvement in tournaments, and the organization of international competitions, Golden Ball has already left a recognizable mark in the youth football of Montenegro. The club believes that with better infrastructural conditions and its own fields, this academy could become an even more important development center for future generations of Montenegrin footballers.
